Oops, forgot to attach that contact list; here it is for real this time.

Howdy, all-

1. I've compiled our media e-mail contact list; it covers both regional and national outlets, with an emphasis on the northeast. I've attached it as a Word document in case anyone needs it.

2. When the site launches, I'll put up an announcement on Daily Kos, MyDD, reddit, digg, and a few other sites of that sort; aside from making our presence known, it will also serve as a request for volunteers, particularly regional officers who can keep us up to speed on any local developments of interest and who can also be counted on to write letters to their local media and politicos on behalf of EV.

3. The girl I've got to handle our initial YouTube videos says the first one will be finished soon, so hopefully we can put it up on our launch date.

4. Let me know when the blog is ready and I'll make sure it's already got a couple of posts before we launch.

5. Is it too late to set it up so that blog posts by non-affiliated contributors are set apart from the official blog posts? A lot of organizations, blog networks, and campaigns are damaged when someone posts something borderline offensive and it becomes associated with the site in question. Perhaps we should disallow user blog posts until such time as we can set up something akin to Daily Kos' little sidebar for user diaries, and just stick to letting them post comments until then?

6. A usable version of the new logo should be completed soon.

7. Let me know when you've got an e-mail account set up for me, as I want to keep my work for EV separate from my other projects.

Thanks,

Barrett

Here's the update from my end on all the things mentioned in the memo.

Merch Account:
I should be able to login to the account and set it up no problem.

News Articles:
This has already been set up on the demo site. "In The News" is the name of the section. Please make sure you include the date and URL of each story you send me.

About Us:
New positions will be listed as soon as I send this email.

Email addresses:
Yes, I can set up the email accounts for everyone. Just let me know when you decide a format for the addresses. I should also point out, that if you don't want to have multiple email accounts, I can set up email forwarding where your address@enlightenthevote.com will simply forward email to your current email inbox.

Address/Mail Changes:
Not sure exactly what you're asking for here. If you're talking about the mailing list, then I can definitely set up an option for listed members to submit a new address/email to you. Perhaps you can clarify exactly what you're asking for here?

Blog:
I will update the Blog link immediately after sending this email.

Potential Candidates:
This section is already included on the demo site homepage. Did you want me to include a link on the "Coming Soon" page? I will type up a printer-friendly version tonight as well. You asked about making the questionnaire questions bold. I'm guessing that you meant the results that it sends in the email, and not the questions on the actual web page. If that's what you meant, unfortunately I can't change the format of the text in the email. However, I do have an option to provide the answers in a format which can be directly copied and pasted into Excel. Does that help?

Spanish Version:
This may take an exceptional amount of work. Considering it's not included in my contract, and that I will likely have to recreate the entire site in Spanish by hand, I would have to charge you at the hourly rate agreed upon in the contract for additional work. We'd also have to find someone who knows Spanish, as I do not. They may require payment for such a service. But yes, I do have the ability to do such a thing (design-wise).

P.S. If you'd like to see how all of these updates are coming along, you can check the demo site at: http://sgladney.myweb.uga.edu/gampac/

This site will automatically show all of the updates I have made. Once the demo site is complete, I will simply transfer all the files to www.enlightenthevote.com and launch the site. So feel free to check on the demo site and let me know of any errors you find. Before you start emailing me though, I already know that the navigation links are buggy and the logo doesn't show up on all the pages. I'll be fixing that shortly.
