Michael-

Good to meet you. Here's the info I have. Let me know if I forgot anything.

"Heidi Boghosian" <director@nlg.org>, (NAtional Lawyers Guild director with whom I'm working to choose lawyers)

Stanley Cohen stanleycohen@earthlink.net - guy who guys on Fox and defends Hamas, lol

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/jan/27/anonymous-internet - my op-ed from other day, with links to info on OpTunisia, etc.

As I mentioned, there are three people I'm assisting in this.

"Trivette" is a channel operator of anonops.ru, where a large faction of the Anonymous movement does its work. He's a California male whose documents you have (partially, it seems). Here is the entirety of what I have; if other info is needed from him, let me know and I'll get it ASAP. The relevant grand jury starts on Feb 10.

Attachment to federal grand jury subpoena: http://img806.imageshack.us/img806/1708/subz.jpg

"Owen" controls the anonops.ru server. He was raided by the FBI but has not received any subpoena. He doesn't seem interested in any legal advice until such point as he is required to get off his ass by the Feds.

"Rabbit"/"No" is a 19-year-old Nevada female. Her family home was raided and she was questioned at that point. She actually called right after I got off with you and told me the following:

Equipment seized:

two broken laptops
two jump drives
father's laptop
mac book
samsung phone
iphone
router

The search warrant was shown to her only after she had requested to see it several times and was questioned about MasterCard etc (it's looking like the MIAA thing may just be peripheral or even unrelated, as I'm just now able to determine). It's headlined United States District Court of Nevada. According to one section, it was supposed to be carried out by Feb 9 - one day before the California grand jury goes down. She'll be able to scan it and get it to you or whoever ends up assisting by Thursday but it's in reference to her having allegedly accessed a secure computer to obtain information, 18 U.S. c 1030a2c.

Hey, Barrett.

I'm working on a story about the DoJ's efforts to prosecute individuals associated with Anonymous and the DDoS attacks against PayPal and others.

The NYT mentioned that you're helping to organize legal assistance for some of those arrested and released recently. Do you have a couple of minutes to talk. I'm interested in your sense of what DoJ's strategy is here. Is this about making some examples from a few people associated with Anonymous. Are they trying to go after leaders in the hopes of beheading the group (which seems unlikely, give the nature).

And I'm also just interested in what exactly people are being charged with. From a legal perspective, this is a tricky move on their part.

Cheers,
