ALABAMA SP SECEDES
FROM BAXLEY PARTY, ENDORSES ABBEVILLE CONFERENCE
In a statement issued early this morning, newly
elected Chairman Rick Cook announced that the SP of Alabama has voted to
disaffiliate from the Baxley Party and the Southern National Committee.
The SPAL thus joins the SP of Georgia, the SIP of Tennessee, the SP of
North Carolina, the SP of South Carolina and the SP of Maryland as
independent and sovereign state political parties. The latter three
organizations have all separated from the Baxley Party within the last
three weeks.
States in which other Baxley-led parties have now
disappeared or gone dormant include Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, New
Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona and Delaware.

Nashville Tennessean, which begins by demeaning Gen. Nathan Bedford
Forrest and goes on to smear just about every ideal and principle honored
and held dear by southerners. One would hope that those who teach our
children would be less obviously extremist in their views...and that they
would at least know what the War Between The States was all about.
Instead, we see clearly purposeful distortion, misdirection and lies. As

I want our children to believe about our southern heritage, our history
and our culture?

NORTH CAROLINA
SOUTHERN PARTY DECLARES INDEPENDENCE FROM BAXLEY PARTY, CITES LEADERSHIP
FAILURES AND CONSTITUTION VIOLATIONS
Jeffrey Melton, Chairman of the SP of North Carolina, has
announced the organization's formal separation from the Baxley Party. In
the same announcement. Mr. Melton reiterated the party's support and
endorsement of the Abbeville Conference, to be convened in Abbeville, SC
on February 22, 2003....a meeting of independent and unaffiliated state
political groups and parties.
Mr. Melton, observing that there are
many fine and principled people in the few remaining state BP
organizations, citied the failures of the "national" leadership under
Chairman Jerry Baxley, as well as violations of the party's constitution.
The Southern Party of North Carolina joins the Southern Party of Maryland,
the Southern Party of Georgia, the Southern Party of South Carolina and
the Southern Independence Party of Tennessee as unaffiliated and
independent state political parties which have opted out of the Baxley
Party.

ATTACKS MEMPHIS CONFEDERATE PARKS, MONUMENTS....
AGAIN
Walter Bailey, Chairman of the
Shelby County Commission, is at it again. Every once in a while, this
Champion of Political Correctness tests the water in attempting to erase
the names of Forrest Park, Confederate Park, and Jefferson Davis Park, in
Memphis.
This time, Bailey sobs that he was recently embarrassed
because a lawyer for a heavyweight fighter said he didn't like the names.
Bailey can't seem to grasp the fact that these parks and their monuments
are symbols of southern pride, and testaments to our respect for history,
and for the brave men who gave their lives for the CSA. These fools seem
never to give up, do they?
We think it might be a good idea to drop
Commissioner Bailey an email about his latest silliness. Just tell him to

SOUTHERN PARTY OF
SC DECLARES INDEPENDENCE FROM BAXLEY PARTY
The SP of South Carolina has formally separated from
the national Southern Party, headed by Jerry Baxley, Greg Kay and Terry
Sloan. SP of SC Chairman Rebecca Barbour cited repeated and ongoing
violations of the SP constitution as factors considered by the officers of
the state party. South Carolina is the second SP state organization to
secede from the heavily centralized Baxley Party in as many weeks. The SP
of Maryland declared itself independent approximately ten days
ago.
Both parties are expected to participate in the
Abbeville Conference, which will convene in Abbeville, South Carolina on
February 22, 2003.

IF....?
Historians have often
pondered in print what might have been the outcome if the Texans had been
able to overwhelm Union defenses at Little Round Top. Certainly, the
entire Union line at Gettysburg would have been flanked, and Southern
forces would have won that pivotal battle. At that point, there were no
significant Union forces between Lee and Washington D.C. Perhaps
everything might have been different....and wouldn't that have been great?

Jerry Baxley, Chairman of the Central Southern Party, has been
the subject of a great deal of speculation recently. In spite of several
published testimonials from well-respected members and founders of the
Southern Movement, that Mr. Baxley had made such claims to them, Mr.
Baxley has denied to many of his state chairmen that he has ever claimed
service. As the email we received points out, SP Vice Chairman Greg Kay
has, in Mr. Baxley's behalf, in forums and chat rooms, repeatedly denied
that Baxley has ever claimed to have served as a Navy SEAL. The email
received has an attachment, which appears to be Mr. Baxley's resume', and
