About the Job:
The VP, Director of Public Relations & Communications provides leadership and support to the Global Brand Marketing team in the flawless delivery of public relations, marketing and communication solutions that drive agency results. This role reports to the SVP Brand Marketing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Public Relations:
-
Develop and execute PR plan
- Conduct media outreach and successfully place stories in trades and business press as well as online channels
- Train and prepare executives to interact with media
- Partner with account teams and clients to create awareness of key relationships and promote the value of press internally

Internal communications:
-
Develop select internal communications for key executives
- Serve as project manager for key internal touch points such as annual agency kickoff

Awards:
-
Submit agency work to leading industry competitions
- Achieve a 60% win rate while simultaneously elevating level of competitions in which we participate
- Lead and evolve internal Jack Awards competition

Thought Leadership:
-
Identify and secure speaking engagements for executives and leading practitioners at key business and trade events
- Develop and execute plan to build and leverage partnerships with associations and other industry influencers
- Create content for thought leadership and commission content from internal partners
- Contribute to social media channels
- Talent Management:

Working with HR attract, retain and motivate talent to deliver on Brand Marketing goals
- Inspires commitment, loyalty, pride, and spirit in the organization, making Jack Morton a great place to work
Requirements Include:
- College degree; 10 years’ related experience required
- A minimum of 4 years as a manager of others
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated success in conducting outreach and developing relationships with press and bloggers
- Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, adhere to high pressure deadlines, think through processes and anticipate needs of a project
- Confidence and diplomacy, determination, creativity, grace under pressure and a collaborative spirit
