Great, I liked working with O'Neill briefly on this, other than my
exception to their request that I somehow just "hand" them "right" to
defend every single Anon, which Heidi instigated, after which I also
got a call from Center for Constitutional Law asking same thing, and
apparently they all hate Cohen and he hated all of them. And three of
the kids from Anonops were assholes to me. One forgave me profusely
later and was mostly just drinking and scared and young-ish, the other
is whatever, other is Mercedes, who has recently claimed on her
Twitter that she's only Anon I assisted, that I "wanted to go to
prison for a book deal" that didn't exist when I was supposed to have
said it (to Stanley Cohen!), and several other really terrible things,
and in the direction of @YourAnonNews with intent that it be
retweeted. I was really hurt by that, even after developing a thicker
skin.

Also, apologize for giving you so many complaints, but again, there
are few people I'm comfortable talking about some of these things with
who is also involved in them, etc. Thanks again. Also we got our
Trapwire coverage rolling at NBC, etc.

Just wrote this. Have gotten a couple outlets interested in reviewing these
accumulated facts, but it's such an uphill battle to get real attention to
any of these things; HBGary got even the examination it did because of the
still-novel "TEEN HACKERS BEAT SECURITY COMPANY AND ONE OF THEM IS
PRETENDING TO BE 16" shit, plus a lot of combined media outreach by several
people with a lot of experience and contacts.



I was never that tremendous of a journalist when I still did that
"full-time," and only sometimes clever as a media critic/political
humorist/whatever, so it's not a huge thing, objectively, for me to say that
this is probably the most important thing I've had the occasion to write, in
terms of what it clarifies and in terms of the important information that
I've gotten much of from other activists with things like Telecomix and
Anon. Please do read it and send it to anyone else you know who might
perhaps be able to make use of the links, facts therein. Obviously parts are
silly but that's not the fault of the people who just spent their day
digging up tax filings, merger papers, etc. Also, wanted to again just thank
you in general for the time you've given to all of this, as well as to
myself and many others; you were probably more personally responsible for
matching clients with pro bono folks than anyone else in the legal
community, and in a more just world you'd be getting tremendous recognition
for that whether you wanted it or not.
