Qualifying purchases: During the promotion period, every qualifying purchase you make at a participating retailer using your Chase Debit card qualifies you to earn Ultimate Rewards points. Any returns or credits will reduce the total points that have accrued in the promotion period. The account linked to the Chase Debit Card that made the qualifying purchase must be open at the time we credit the points. Qualifying purchases are those made without using your PIN (Personal Identification Number). They include: Purchases you sign for, Internet purchases, Phone and mail order purchases, Small dollar purchases that do not require a signature or PIN, and Contactless purchases (purchases made by holding your blink(R) enabled card to a secure reader, where available, and when you don't enter your PIN). Please remember the following purchases do not qualify toward earning points: purchases authorized with your PIN, ATM transactions, cash transactions and non U.S. purchases. When paying with your Chase Debit Card, you may be asked to choose "Debit" or "Credit." It can be confusing, but always select "Credit," and know the money still comes out of your checking account. If prompted to use your PIN, simply press Cancel, or ask the merchant to process your Debit Card as a Credit Card. The merchant may have you sign a receipt for your purchase.

Bonus Offers: Bonus offers valid only for Chase Debit Card customers who received this communication directly from Chase. Offers are valid during the current promotion period (July 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012). You can start earning points from Bonus Offers as soon as you make qualifying purchases using your Chase Debit Card at the participating retailers (see above). The more you use your Chase Debit Card at the participating retailers (see above), the more points you can earn. There is no limit to the amount you can earn. Points from qualifying purchases will be credited to your account within 1-2 statement cycles after the end of the month in which your qualifying purchase(s) are made during the promotion period. Returns or credits on qualifying purchases made at participating retailers on your Chase Debit Card account during the promotion period will be balanced against earned points. If returns or credits exceed earned points in the promotion period, no deposit will be made to your Ultimate Rewards account in that promotion period. To earn points, your qualifying purchases must exceed any returns in the promotion period. Any returns or credits applied in the promotion period(s) following will impact or adjust the points you earn in that or subsequent promotion periods; details on adjustments can be found by speaking with Customer Service.
