"We need to raise $474 to pay for court transcripts from NDAA hearing yesterday!

* Government actually said war correspondents could be indefinitely detained under the NDAA. (wow!)
* Refused to answer whether NDAA has been applied since injunction - claimed it doesn't keep track of laws it applies for detention!
* Judge warned attorneys they would be in contempt of court if 1021 applied since May 16.
* Government claimed the right to define "association" as it sees fit - said people in the presence of Al Qaida can be perpetually detained, war correspondents who are embedded could be detained, anyone could be detained --- refused to provide any clarity on what would constitute running afoul of this law.

Transcription will take one week, but we need to order them asap, in order to do our work on the case and to provide them to smaller media who can't afford them. Can you pitch in at all?"
