Well the primary problem was that control freaks prevented occupation and controlled information via the internet and twitter, etc. They controlled the donations of food and money. Some did it just for money some did it for political cache.

In the end any efforts for meaningful direct action were side tracked and neutralized. The people that did mean business were told to have their own meetings elsewhere that "Occupy" would not support anything like what was (truly) needed. There was a lot of that.

Sand bagger people who claimed to not be "leaders" used "WE" and "Occupy this" and "Occupy stands for that." They controlled the flow and defeated the ability to maintain a long standing occupation though such Fascist thinking.

There is no reason why we should not have returned in force after the first raid. And there is no reason why we should not have been preparing to return force. The only reason why there was no significant occupation was because of cowardice, greed, and leadership that wanted to play to the authorities.
