Olson has done a pretty good job under very difficult circumstances, as
Anonymous is one of the most difficult things to write accurately about due
to so much of it going on in IRC and all that. I told her the same thing
when she popped into one of the servers to see what the reactions were a
couple of weeks back. But I noticed a couple of inaccuracies that could have
been dealt with if she had asked me more questions rather than relying so
much on Topiary - as it is, she has me living in Houston rather than Dallas,
and doesn't seem to understand what our case against Booz Allen Hamilton
was, and refers to me incorrectly as the "son of a wealthy real estate
investor" when in fact my dad hasn't been wealthy since 1987 when he lost
all his money and was indicted by FBI for a lot-swapping matter and has
since been perpetually broke (not a huge deal, but if I'm to be introduced
or characterized, it would probably make more sense to refer to me as a
writer or former journalist, since that figures heavily into the role I
eventually played within Anon). A lot of the problem here is that she's
getting info on my involvement with Anonymous from Topiary, who only knows
what I did relative to the brief period in which he was working with me and
a few others on some HBGary stuff. There's one part in particular later on
which makes it seem as if I was at one worried about being assassinated "by
the military" and which, if taken as fact, is probably going to make me look
like some kind of nut. But as I said, it's difficult to summarize all of the
things that happened back then without giving off the wrong idea about
aspects of those things, especially when the subject is so multi-faceted and
poorly-documented, so I don't blame her too much. I do wish that she would
have checked some of these assertions with me, though.



Anyway, I'll be around to talk via Skype, so hopefully we'll have a chance
