This is Barrett Brown; we spoke about OpCartel last year. I'm
currently working with a group of a couple hundred Mexican Anons on
OpMexico, which seems to be more promising than many of the other
operations that have gone down lately. I've noticed that Mexico has a
relatively strong Anonymous presence, and those who have assembled in
the IRC channel at the Anonops server appear to be particularly
committed. Right now they're working on organizing demonstrations in
DF and elsewhere (as well as helping to promote already-scheduled
marches by more established groups, such as the one on the 7th), and
are also going about acquiring mailing addresses for clinics in each
state so as to better make their appeals in rural areas, which I think
is especially promising. Let me know if you'd be interested in
speaking to one of them, in which case I'll provide your e-mail
address to the guy who's going to be heading up media relations. You
can also watch them yourself at the Anonops server.

Also, in case you were wondering about the DA we discussed, he's now
in a sort of standoff with state and local media after a scandal
involving missing weapons, drugs, and money from the evidence locker;
a third-party audit was conducted but he refuses to release the
results. However, my impression is that there's no Mexico angle to his
connections, and that this involves a purely U.S. syndicate.

Lemme introduce myself very briefly. I'm a mexican online journalist
