Have just accepted an invitation to participate in Business Week/Bloomberg "round table" on security at their HQ next month along with four or five other guests representing different relevant sectors; event will be filmed and covered in Business Week and their other outlets. Apparently I'm representing the "insurgent" sector. Will be a good chance to bring some more attention to some of the concerns about the intelligence world. Meanwhile, trying to figure out how to move things forward in terms of general online activism; Anonymous is very much in decline by every important measure, and the only viable way to proceed in my view is to encourage/incubate smaller groups that can practice quality control, pursue well-defined goals in accordance with well-defined values. Also trying to figure out what to do next professionally, and hoping to move out of Dallas soon but not sure where to go. Seriously thinking of getting back to doing a screenplay, though one that would draw upon some of the more nuanced and bizarre situations/dynamics I've been in a position to observe these last two years. At any rate, I've got plenty of time now and no real project to work on beyond the media I do, so juggling ideas, reading books and watching movies on Netflix in order to better incubate ideas.
