Not necessarily; Telecomix is having some sort of DNS problem today,
making their IRC inaccessible, so I imagine the non-availability of
the wiki is related. But there are ongoing attacks (beginning
yesterday morning, it seems) against other servers associated with
Anonymous, including the one on which our Echenlon2.org wiki is
currently hosted, making it inaccessible for now, too. I'm not yet
sure what's known about the attacks and if anyone is taking
responsibility, but this network, Voxanon, has been attacked via DOS
on a number of occasions previously, which is common in this culture.
When the Blue Cabinet wiki does come back up, you'll notice that many
of the firms listed don't yet have entries with any real information.
It seems to be more of a work in progress than I realized when I
recommended it to you, but there are a good number of firms on which
plenty of verifiable info has already been compiled, so I think it's
still worthwhile as a jumping off point on some things.

Thanks Barrett. Looks like it is down right now. Are they under attack?

Also wanted to make sure you're aware of Telecomix' Blue Cabinet wiki,
which you might find useful as a resource:

Very true. Incidentally, the HBGary e-mails will be back up on a
searchable online archive in a few days, thanks to a couple of Anons
I'm still working with. I'm hoping to spark a new round of interest in
such a way that will prompt some other journalists and activists to
take the time to look through more of them, maybe figure out something
that's been missed so far.

Ya, I was just doing some quick searches and wasn't able to find
anything
either. It could be that the first dude (Tim?) was using the wrong
terms.
Perhaps searching variations on the term "misattributable" (which isn't
a
real word) might turn up something. It might also require figuring
about
what the terms "attribution" and "misattribution" mean within the
context of
professional marketing lingo.

That's what I think as well, as the term is pretty indicative of that.
I couldn't find it used anywhere else via search engines, so this
would be one of those industry neologisms that wouldn't have been
known without the HBGary e-mails. Interesting how Barr asks if AOL
might have such a capability...

I just logged into Twitter and saw your tweet about that. It

the
source is not known but marketing content that is portrayed as
coming
from a
source that (presumably) did not actually create the content.
AKA...deception.

Am going through our wiki and just wanted to make sure you were
aware
of this particular find, which is one of a number of things we
never
really pursued. Might be something you'd have more insight into.
