I just logged into Twitter and saw your tweet about that. It immediately caught my interest. I haven't heard the term before. But it sounds on the face of it pretty clear cut: As in, not just marketing content for which the source is not known but marketing content that is portrayed as coming from a source that (presumably) did not actually create the content. AKA...deception.
