@slim404 is Slim Amamou, the Tunisian whom I mentioned who is probably
most directly responsible for OpTunisia. He spent over a week in
prison during the unrest but eventually came to server as Minister for
Youth and Sports, thereafter resigning to protest continued censorship
policies in the interim government. As you'll see from his Twitter
profile, he describes himself as a "soft power alchemist," which is
among the better terms I've heard to describe some of what was
achieved in the early Arab Spring days. Although we were in the same
IRC channel for perhaps a day or two in early January, we didn't
really talk then and have only "met" recently via Twitter.
