Thanks for the link. Interesting. What isn't explained in the story is that the DoD already has that kind of monitoring tech, though I'm not sure on what scale it's being used.

The piece isn't out yet, but should be soon. It has taken a while longer than expected as I got into a bit of a to-and-fro with my editor. The final draft is now being lawyered, for obvious reasons, and I'm hopeful it'll be ready within a few days.
