Igby Goes Down

It's prep school nutty coming of age movie thing. I love it! For some reason Wonder Boys was in my head when thinking of the title the other night, but my brain hasn't really been working right so w/e. I know I enjoyed Wonder Boys but have no recollection of the movie, especially after reading the Wikipedia page.

Also, we must take a trip with The Coen Brothers next and watch The Big Lebowski and Fargo

Ooh, in addition of your homework with watching Igby Goes Down, you need to watch The Science of Sleep. You probably won't relate to this like Igby, but it's a peek inside Nikki's mind. It makes me giggle and happy ^_^ I LOVE stop motion and animation (like jan svankmeier and brothers quay stuffs)

The Science of Sleep

It's written and directed by Michel Gondry, dude who directed (and co-wrote with Charlie Kauffman) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which has this back and forth lack of linear into abstract with blurred lines 'n such. It makes sense to me! Haha. Sleep is linear, but the lines of reality and dreams is blurred, but that's sorta the point — he makes his dreams a reality ^_^ The dream kitchen bit reminds me of Food Party which OMFG I LOVE. It's an azn chick. And she's marvelous. I cannot put it into words — it's an experience, a highly visual one. Also, it's totally my sense of humor lol. Its really cute and innocent and colorful but then weird disturbing shit happens and you feel sorta violated. Hooray! :D

I'd post a link to a preview vid but I'm on my phone so w/e. Wheeee! :D
