I spoke last night to a high-level Stratfor employee for whom we happened to have a cell phone number on hand from one of the e-mails, he agreed to send my proposal up the chain. Got a call from Stratfor's office this morning but missed it; I don't know what extension to dial in calling back and there doesn't seem to be a secretary in, so I just e-mailed George Friedman and told him to give me a call back, and tweeted the message as well.
Sabu was one of several people involved in the hack, which was perpetrated under the rubric of "Antisec." Antisec is essentially an Anonymous campaign/movement and those involved are mostly Anons. With these sorts of operations, there will always be objections from one quarter or another that it's not really an Anonymous op. A pastebin that appeared yesterday to that effect was actually written by a fellow who is largely opposed to Anon in general and who has a history of putting up such things under false pretenses, having actually used my name on one a few months back.
