Gents--
Happy new year to you all, and thanks, as ever, for all your terrific efforts on behalf of Gregg & Barrett & the Anonymous project.
Please note that we're going to have to cease phone conversations with any & all film producers etc until Gregg and Barrett finish the manuscript, which is due in March. I realize that this may cost us opportunity, but that's the way it's got to be--I need Gregg focused absolutely & full-time on finishing the manuscript, pouring all that energy into the book itself. Obviously we're shit-up-a-creek if there's not, ultimately, a finished book for producers to option!
Since we have this call set up already for Tuesday morning, let's go ahead and play it out. But if they cancel or need to reschedule, please give Kim Cavyan and Bobby Cohen my sincere apologies, and let them know that we look forward to reconnecting, if they're still interested, in a couple of months.
That's it for now. Maybe there's a way to spin this so that those who've been in conversation heretofore get the sense that we're so confident about what we've read so far of the manuscript itself that we've made the decision to hold off and submit that in March / April, with expectation that this will generate an even more-heightened level of interest--that's your call, of course.
Thanks so much--I'm sorry if this puts you in an awkward position, and of course I'm happy to discuss this with you on Tuesday.
Best,
Dan
