I would not have any trouble deciding between journalism and Anonymous-style activism, and have in fact already made that decision by gradually leaving journalism in favor of that sort of activity.

Hi Barrett,
Just dropping a line so neither of us would forget. I'm the Finn who was looking for a possibility to interview you a few days ago on Tinychat under the nick of LauraHuu. You gave me this e-mail address of yours with no hesitation about granting me the interview.
So first: I'm doing freelance for the Finnish Journalist Union's bi-monthly publication called Journalisti. We're still in the middle of negociations on the time of publication of my article and other other details. I reckon this means we're not in a hurry.
Suprisingly enough, Finnish journalists and neither Finnish citizens aren't very familiar with hacks, leaks and such. The question has aroused during this fall, since new hacks occur now nearly every week. Most of them are pretty simple (such as this one: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/11/09/finland_anonymous/ ), but nasty ones with ordinary citizens' social security codes have occured too: ( http://bit.ly/rFWws5 ) .
I'm not a professional on the computer field myself, but someone who went berserk on the subject as Wikileaks Cablegate occured and Anonymous stood up DDoS:ing MasterCard and Paypal. I'm studying the subject, keenly especially on the political activist point of view.
First I'd like to know: imagine a day you'd have to take sides either being a journalist of an Anonymous-sympathetic person. Which one you'd choose?
