Sounds great - Thank you.

I actually have read the D Magazine profile (which was actually a really great read).

The are several other questions that just came to mind:

- There are rumors of an "inner circle" that is influencing the actions of the group. How true is this? While there are no titles or leaders, it would make sense that there are factions within the group, CabinCr3w and LulzSec being two visible and high-profile examples.

- The owner of OWSExposed.com suspects that Anonymous has been behind the cyber attacks on his website. While it's quite easy to demonize Anonymous and use it as a scapegoat, there are Twitter conversations between different accounts associated with Anonymous that show that at least some members of the group are aware of the site, and have interest in attacking it. Is the group targeting OWSExposed.com, and if not, do you think that it is members of the group acting of their own accord?

Also, if it is possible to get a specific answer from the group on the record about Eric Holder and the DOJ, that would greatly be appreciated, even if the whole group answers as one in the form of a press release or its own video. The DOJ just did a big document dump at the end of the day today to explain after 8 months why its contradicted itself with inaccurate information. Anonymous has some skin in the game, and it'd be interesting to know where the group stands on the issue.

Finally, since you tried to quit, but rejoined for Operation Los Zetas, are you still in, or are you out again?

Thanks again, and have a great rest of your night.

- Josh

Sunday will be fine. I'll look over these questions as well. Note, though, that no one can speak for Anonymous, that there are no official titles, and that I even tried to quit the group a few months ago but am nonetheless still described as either spokesman or leader of the group. Having said that, I can broadly characterize the general position of participants on such questions as you've asked. You should also read the D Magazine profile on me if you haven't already.

Subject: Sunday Interview?

Hey Barrett -

My apologies again, there's been a lot going on this week. I'm actually trying to finish this before I head out the door for the evening.

How does Sunday afternoon sound around 2 or 3pm? With your permission, I'd like to record our video chat to feature on our site. The video would be obviously be shorter in length due to Internet attention spans (2-5 min at most). I'd write a longer article to accompany the piece about our interview, which would then put into context both who you are and who Anonymous is. From what I understand, Anonymous operates kinda like the Borg from Star Trek. If there is a good way to explain it for our readers, I would welcome you to do so, especially since "collective" does not seem to properly describe the nature of your group - "Internet freedom fighters and cyber-terrorists" are two ways to describe your group from the outside looking in, but I'm curious how the group views itself. "We are Legion" is an interesting claim - would applying the Biblical description, the movie, or both fit?

Since you speak for the group, however, here are some specific questions for you to look over ahead of time and vet through the group so, since I am not sure if Anonymous has a specific stance on these particular issues.

- What is Anonymous' view of Occupy Wall Street, especially given the fact that it has done much to support the movement? What is the group's thoughts on the attack on Lt. John Pike?

- What is Anonymous' assessment of the results of Operation Los Zetas, and how did your kidnapped members become involved with Los Zetas? Given that the DOJ, through Operation Fast and Furious and other gunwalking programs, supplied Los Zetas and has fueled the drug war in Mexico, does Anonymous think that Attorney General Eric Holder should resign. Obviously, Anonymous and DOJ are at major odds given the amount of campaigns Anonymous waged on U.S. companies this year - however, given the amount of controversy the DOJ has wrapped itself up in, ultimately leading to bloodshed, does Anonymous think that the DOJ is an out of control federal agency?

-  What is Anonymous' view of net neutrality, and does the group think that content specific devices (Facebook phones and the Kindle Fire, specifically) violate the principles of maintaining a free and open Internet when the devices by design favor the content of one company over another?

- While Anonymous does not support SOPA, would it support the passage of an alternative bill proposed by Wyden and Issa that would give the International Trade Commission the authority to regulate copyright infringement on foreign websites?

Thanks again for your and Anonymous' time, Barrett. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
