Ameritech Corp VP-Federal Relations Gary Lytle reports that the
company will not re-apply for in-region interlocal access and transport area
service authorization in Michigan until it is certain that the FCC will
approve its application. Lytle expects the refiling to be conducted in 1999.
He also noted that Ameritech failed to join a lawsuit contesting FCC's
line-of-business regulations against FCC.
