Hi Barrett, Matt from SecurityNewsDaily again. I watched your YouTube video about the operation, an I just have a few more questions.

Are you going to take part in OpCartel?

Yes, I've been involved since yesterday morning, and had previously promoted it via the usual means.

Would you recommend anyone take part in it?

Not at this point, as we don't need additional participants for this. If a wider campaign emerges, those who aren't giant pussies should indeed get involved.

If so, what precautions would you suggest to active participants?

The usual precautions, such as I2p and other methods by which to conceal one's identity.

Do you read Spanish?

Yes, much better than I speak it.

Do you think people (within and outside of Anonymous) fully understand the weight of this mission?

Many do. Many wrongly see it as some sort of departure from our previous work, which has nonetheless already involved the outing of informants in Egypt, for instance, who were likely and happily killed as a result.

Part of the new plan is a sort of complaint box, where people can write suggestions and tips and lodge complaints against The Zetas, which Anonymous says it will investigate. How will the group investigate? What does that mean?

A lot of those details are still being worked out, but prior operations will provide several different models for the finished product.

Is Anonymous trying to start a gang war between the Zetas and other cartels?

No. I personally would like to see the Mexican people arm themselves and rise up against the cartels and their government, but that will not happen soon no matter what we do. And the few others involved in OpCartel have an understandably narrow and careful focus on all of this.

What is the end goal of OpCartel? Do you see that goal ever being reached?

The firm goal is to obtain the release of the Veracruz Anon participant who was randomly kidnapped by the Zetas in the course of an Operation Paperstorm protest. Barring that, the goal is to kill as many Zetas as possible.

Ok, thanks again
