Look what’s just been announced, on Publishers Marketplace.

Forbes Magazine's London Bureau Chief Parmy Olson's WE ARE LEGION, an exposé of the hacker collectives Anonymous and LulzSec, to John Parsley at Little, Brown, in a good deal, at auction, by David Fugate at LaunchBooks Literary Agency (world).

Julia, FYI, John had been very interested in our proposal and spent a long time on the phone w/ Gregg and Barrett. (He edited/published Mitnick’s book too, of course.) This proposal was circulating when ours was, I kept hearing that it wasn’t very good, but obviously we’ve stirred up the pot.

I have a call in to John to clarify that he’s not to share our proposal or the details of your discussion w/ Parmy, and to find out about his timing… But no doubt this means there’s going to be a bit of a footrace.

Guys, I know you’ve spoken w/ Parmy in the past—no more, OK?
