This outline is perfect, Barrett. I'm going to print it out and bring it with me for the meetings--I don't think we'll actually hand it out yet, so much as use it as a follow-up immediately AFTER the meetings. Here it is in word, fyi.

I don't think we'll have a problem making the case that Stryker's book isn't going to be a problem for us, so I'm not worried.

FYI--a pass from Grand Central, but most noteworthy is this, about another book by Cole Stryker:

Cole Stryker's follow-up to EPIC WIN FOR ANONYMOUS, taking a deeper look at the cultural online phenomenon Anonymous, offering a detailed account of how Anonymous, LulzSec, and the other groups currently dominating the headlines formed; what their motives and techniques are; why and how they have taken action against corporations and governments thus far; and what we can expect in the future from Anonymous, again to Stephanie Gorton<http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/dealmakers/detail.cgi?id=19821> at Overlook<http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/dealmakers/detail.cgi?id=2461>, for publication in Spring 2012, by Chelsea Lindman<http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/dealmakers/detail.cgi?id=16035> at the Nicholas Ellison<http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/dealmakers/detail.cgi?id=294> (World English).

Overlook's a small press, so I'm not too worried, but we need to be ready to dismantle Stryker if he comes up in these meetings.

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the hold up. Thanks so much for thinking to send be Gregg and Barrett's excellent proposal. It's a very intriguing inside look at one of the most important and ubiquitous hacker groups of our time. Taking the reader along for the ride as the group works its magic is quite thrilling.

That said, I'm afraid I have some concerns that force me to pass on behalf of GCP. While I know this is the first real inside look, I do worry that there is a lot of ink out there about the group, including the Cole Stryker deal done this week that promises "taking a deeper look at the cultural online phenomenon Anonymous, offering a detailed account of how Anonymous, LulzSec, and the other groups currently dominating the headlines formed; what their motives and techniques are; why and how they have taken action against corporations and governments thus far; and what we can expect in the future from Anonymous." Again, I do not doubt that Gregg and Barrett have the goods here, but there's a lot of noise, and so I think it best we sit this one out.

Thanks so much again for letting me take a look, and I wish you and the guys all the best with it. I am sure you will find it an excellent home.

We were close on this one, and I am hopeful that we'll get one soon!

Ben
