Thanks for the update. I hope your trip is fruitful and enjoyable, which are not always possible in tandem in NYC when youre up there for business.
On the other hand, when it works, its a blast. Any music you want to hear, anything you might want to do. Dallas has some nice things, and I prefer to live where I live, but the apple is fun in short spells.
I think the number Ive been using to call you is a cell, but I cant say for sure. Will you be using 512-560-2302 while up there? Thats the number I gave my producer, who might be calling you soon, so if theres a different one, Id like to be able to update his contact list info.
Take care,
bob.

Bob-
I'm going to be coming up to NYC on the 17th to meet with several book publishers and will be staying for at least a week. If the crew wanted to meet me up there, that would be fine. Let me know.On Sun, Sep 4, 2011 at 8:23 PM, Bob Evans <bobevans52@cox.net> wrote:
Ive seen it a few times too. The problem is, Japan is so crazy about HD (and theyve been watching nothing but for longer than we have in the U.S.) that Im told that millions of people simply switch channels when something isnt HD enough for them. Ive queried the producers about the possibility and will see what they say theyre up for.
Thanks,
bob.

You should ask him if an in-person interview would work; otherwise, Skype has been increasingly used by documentaries and news interviews, particularly when dealing with Anons. I've done several live interviews over Skype with Russia Today and other outlets.

Thanks. Ive messaged the producers in Japan to see if we can send someone, or hire someone, to interview him there. Or maybe do it via Skype? Im not sure how well that would work.

A lot of those people are scattered or incommunicado right now due to an ongoing attack against the AnonOps server, but there's a fellow who actually lives in Tunisia who was involved both on the streets and on our operational servers whom I still talk to regularly. His Skype name is jokoforlan1. His English isn't good but he speaks French and of course Arabic.

Dear Mr. Brown:
Hope you are well and making good progress on your book and other research.
I am wondering if you might be able to help us contact others who worked with Anonymous and might be willing to relate their efforts in the Libya, Tunisia or similar operations. The Pay Pal, MasterCard and WikiLeaks related stuff, as well as the Sony/Playstation and HBGary Federal operations would also be great, but I realize that it is unlikely that people would want to come out and talk about participation in those for rather obvious reasons. We can mask identity and use pixilated etc; faces and scrambled voices if people want this type of anonymity. But theyd have to do some form of on-camera interview so that we could be relatively sure that we have a real person etc;
If you have any ideas for me, or some names, Id appreciate it. I can be reached at this e-mail address, or at 757-564-6331. Thats in Virginia, and my wife teaches school, so if you call, please dont call past 9 pm, as thats when she goes to sleep to get up early and teach.
Either way, Ed Noguchi will likely be in touch in a week or so to set up a time and day for your interview.
Just in case you want a reminder on the details, we are doing a 30-minute segment of Close-Up Gendai, which is the most popular prime-time news program in Japan (sort of like 20-20). It will be seen primarily in Japan, but will also likely be available in Germany and on Japan TV, which is available on Dish Network satellite TV and a number of cable systems in the U.S. and Canada. There is also sporadic availability in other countries. The audience in Japan alone is often 15 million. So its a good place to get a message out.
Thanks for your help,
Bob.
