Subject: FINAL (?) manuscript

Gents,

Here it is, with (hopefully!) all our collective changes and formatting tweaks and (etc) incorporated.  Note that this one is entitled “9-7” so please be sure to work from, and refer to, THIS version going forward.

PLEASE, though—get back to me ASAP, cuz I want to start sending this puppy out first thing tomorrow, OK?

Speaking of which:  I’ve already placed calls to 15 editors this afternoon, and have spoken to seven of those—all sounded intrigued, and a couple of those emphatically so; one told me he’d been looking for someone to write a book about Anonymous himself, and another said “Fuck yeah—sold!  Send it, can’t wait.”  Another had just today read about the Cole Stryker thing, so had Anonymous freshly in his brain…  My process (I think I explained this to one of you already) is that I don’t send it to somebody until I’ve actually connected w/ them on the phone—a ton of stuff comes in to these editors, so in my view it’s crucial to connect directly or else the thing will get buried.  Anyway:  they’ll be going out in that fashion tomorrow morning, and we’re off to a good start, based on the responses I had today.

I’ll give you a rundown of names tomorrow, once I’ve connected with more.  I still have to draft my pitch letter, but I’m going to keep it brief.

Thanks, guy—

Dan
