I just today checked my apartment's mailbox for the first time in quite a while (I don't get anything else than junkmail, usually) and saw that you sent me cards and checks for last Christmas and my birthday. Just wanted to say thanks for both of them. I hope everything's well with you too; dad and Sandy just got back from Maine and I'll probably be having dinner with them again soon. I've also just finished the 30-page book proposal for my new agent, and he thinks he can get it sold for a large advance next month, so hopefully I'll be able to travel more this year and drop by Kansas.
