Hi Barrett,

We put together a list of attorneys and the clients they are representing at this point. We are trying to coordinate to plan various aspects of the defense of the case and the support of the Anons.  Some of us have brought on secondary counsel to assist us.  Those are the folks to the left of the lead attorney's names. Let me know if there are any others that you are aware of that we should include, and be in contact with.

Client                                       Lawyer
Keith Downey                           John Hamasak/Suzanne Morris

Christopher Vo                          Alexis Wilson Briggs/Greg Bentley
Ethan Miles                              Graham Archer
Tracy Ann Valenzuela               James McNair Thompson
Mercedes R. Haefer                  Stanley L. Cohen/Randy Daar
Vincent Kershaw                      Omar Figueroa

Also, yes, I think it would be good to see what we can pull off regarding fundraising.  Both as a means of supporting these folks, and also as a means of bringing awareness to the situation, and helping to change the narrative on this case.

Best,

John

John-

That's certainly a good idea, and I'd be happy to assist with it in terms of promotion and all that if we can find someone to actually run it. I'll talk to David House and a couple of other people and see if they have any ideas.

Hi Barrett,

I wanted to run a thought, still in its infancy, by you and get your opinion.  Is there a way that some fundraising can be done to support the indicted Anons?  Not for legal fees, but rather, just to support the Anons who are willing to stand and fight this thing to the finish.  My concern is that the cost of defending themselves throughout this process may force some to plead out at an early stage due to the financial hardships associated with fighting this case.  The expenses such as traveling to San Jose for court appearances, etc.  Raise some funds, have someone oversee and dispense funds for things like air travel, etc.

I have no clue if it's feasible or how to go about it.  Never done anything like it, and would like someone else to take the lead on it if we were to follow through.  But I know that this is going to create a financial hardship on some of these folks, so I want to see if there is a way they can get some support through the process.  What do you think?

Best,

John
