 I make absolutely nothing of it.  My guess is that either one of two things happened.  The AUSA in Ala wasn’t aware that Chris was already cooperating and filed the standard form or no one cares that Chris was cooperating anymore and they filed the standard term.  It is unusual that someone accused of a computer crime will be allowed any access to computers at all.  It is even more unusual in this case, as this is supposed to be a big deal for the FBI.  So either it was a crossed wire from San Jose to Alabama or just business as usual.  Either way, the result is very common and would have happened sooner or later.
