Hey Barrett,

Just realized that I should add the word “Anonymous” in front of “hacktivist group” to confirm that I was talking about Anon and not LulzSec…I knew you weren’t part of LulzSec, but that will make it clearer.

Holy shit, this infosec company has actually publicly listed me as spokesperson for Lulzsec without evidence? Do you have a contact there? This is absolutely insane.

I broke off to run my own group, Project PM, a while back. If you google "face of anonymous quits" or some such there's an interview with computerworld in which I explain the reasoning.

The guys who run Lulzsec are prominent Anons themselves who simply broke off a while back to do their own thing but who still retain connections to Anonymous, so it looks like they simply put out a press release. Some number of Anons will join them, others won't. Personally I'm glad to see that they're going after legitimate state targets again rather than merely causing trouble for private individuals.

Hi Barrett,

I am writing a piece today about the Anonymous-LulzSec “Anti-Sec” campaign. I was wondering what made the two organizations come together and find common ground, etc. Can you share your thoughts on this?

Thanks!
Best regards,
Kelly
