Anonymous people as Wizard of Oz -- the story is like the journey to find Oz, hacker characters are a mystery, all looking for something, like the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, etc. -- the climax of the story is when you pull back the curtain and find out who is the puppeteer? Who is really behind all those hacker guys? It could be an interesting mystery with a surprising ending. (I don't really KNOW who you would have as the power character orchestrating it -- some maniacal Chinese or Russian or Soros character or something. Anyway, that was my recent stream of thought.
