There are a number of people in the movement who disapprove of the IMF and who would like to see it under assault, but keep in mind that the majority of self-identified Anons are not hackers, which is why most of Anon targets don't actually get hacked, but simply DDOSed. Many of those who handled the hacks that did occur moved over to Lulzsec, which tends to go after targets of opportunity although with a certain emphasis intelligence contractors/law enforcement bodies, institutions seen as dealing unfairly with Wikileaks, etc. Had they been the ones to hit the IMF, it would be known. Likewise, Anonymous always explains its attacks. I'm guessing this is some other party, perhaps with a similar agenda, but I've heard nothing about it that's not generally available.

My number is 512-560-2302.

Hi there. I’m from Reuters and I spoke to you a few weeks ago. Have you heard anything at all about who might be behind the alleged hacking attack(s) on the International Monetary Fund. Is this the sort of target that would interest people like Anonymous or Lulz ?

Any thoughts most welcome. Perhaps you could also forward your phone number to me again, since I seem to have misplaced it.

Many thanks,
