A few things that make this a story, to me.

1) Reps. King and Schumer's absolutely evil hysterical murdermongering
against Assange and Manning, and the fact that theirs are nearby
districts in the same state.

2) Velazquez's opposition to the Iraq war and overstepping reasonable
bounds in the war on terror. It is of note that she voted against
disallowing the invasion of Kosovo. She has been silent, it seems,
since Obama entered office, except to vote for something he is
pushing.

3) Bushwickers "like us" care about foreign policy and civil
liberties. They care about WikiLeaks and Brad Manning. They have held
events related to each. If Ms. Velazquez is actively avoiding making a
statement on this issue, for many months and thought several people
have asked her, I think it should be known by her constituents.

I'm guessing she is a simple party hack, in the Brooklyn tradition.
Personally, I think if she's just going to ignore foreign policy and
domestic liberties issues and just vote for food stamp increases, she
should be a fucking social worker, not a congress member.

Well, the fact that they refused to speak on the issue is something. Is
there anything else in the history of this rep.'s statements that you're
looking to focus on?

It means, you aren't to use my name... you may say a spokesman or our
office, if you must mention us at all.

Ok, I wasn't sure what you meant by the "background" part.

Is there a reason why your office has no comment? Do you personally at
least recognize it's important given the two fire-breathers on the
issue a stone's throw from the congresswoman's district?
