Yes, he wrote the dialog, started Image Comics, created dozens of shitty characters with guns and swords and otherwise helped to ruin comics in the early 90s.

Okay, read the page now.

I dont get what the guy's deal is. It's just a certain style and the critic that wrote it just seems like he's talking shut for the sake of talking shit in a butthurt manner.

The more recent art by Liefeld looks like some old analog guy trying to be hip and cool and keep up with technology, but the photoshop coloring sucks. But, then again, usually the comic artist illustrates the thing, someone else inks it, and someone else is the colorist. So, really, it doesnt matter.

Also what's the deal with the criticism of dialog? Did Liefeld even write the dialogue? Usually comic book artists just do comic book art. At times they write, but he seems prolific enough to not have written much (if at all). I dunno. I'm not too familiar with superhero comics. As an example, look at Harvey Pekar's autobiographical comics "American Splendor." The art was done predominantly by the great (and subversive) underground comic book artist Robert Crumb.

I don't get why the dude is so obsessed with Liefeld's style of drawing feet and why he continues to criticize his stylistic depictions of action fantasy superhero humans. They're, like, comic book illustrations. It's not photo realism, nor are they medical illustrations. It's stylized. It's "fantastical," I mean, like...seriously. He's drawing superheroes. Why would the depictions be realistic? Is this critic looking for *realism*? Is he really that butthurt about "unrealistically proportioned* superheroes that exist in a *different universe*? Alright. I'd want photo realistic depictions too.

Like srsly wtf is this guy autistic or just bitter about some sort of dashed dreams of wanting to become a comic book artist? I don't understand this very ignorant diatribe.

Or is this guy just simply bitter about the fact that these fantasy worlds don't exist in reality, and due to Liefeld's non-realistic and highly stylized drawings, this dotard is unable to pretend he's living in this fantasy world? Is he angry about spending his childhood within these worlds and feels betrayed by adulthood and the reality that surrounds him?

Seriously. Like, this dude's an idiot. There are a LOT of highly successful illustrators and artists that don't have the skill level that Liefeld does. Do I like Liefeld's style? Nope. Do I respect it as having established the visual style  of the entire genre of superhero comics? Yeah. I'm not into that shit anyway so w/e lol

Like fucking seriously. There are a LOT worse artists out there that this guy could criticize. I don't get why he's gripping Liefeld's balls.

Man, this is seriously the most ignorant uneducated pop culture art criticism that WENT ON FOR PAGES. I have no fucking clue why this guy has nothing better to do, because he wasted a lot of fucking time rubbing himself out to think he knows anything about illustration himself. Is he in the industry? Does he even know how it works? Jesus, the trend and visual style that Liefeld helped established in the '90s is simply just that - a trend, an era. It's comparable to the outsider art styles that came about through skate culture - many of which Brian represents in his gallery. It can be summed up as "hipster art." Many of them do not have much skill. Some of them play on the same ol' shtick and don't progress or evolve in their artwork. It just...is. And it will fade away. If anything, I appreciate these things because it adds variety to the pop culture visual landscape. Things will always suck. Jesus. This guy has zero fucking scope about art and illustration whatsoever and the 40 point bitchfest speaks so highly of itself from the most mundane, pedestrian level.

In conclusion, that guy probably has a small penis. Also, too much time on his hands.

NIGGA WUT? pleeeeease
