GOD DAMN IT I'M SO PISSED AT MYSELF

i got an email june 2

from FOCUS magazine in germany

asking to reprint the photo i took of barrett

the deadline was june 3

and i just checked my email today

after not really checking it for a week

and god fucking dammit i could have made like 100-300 bucks for a reprint

you should check your email

well i chcekd it on my phone

but it was some weird name

so i thought it was spam

didn't check it on my comp

to do some weekly youtube thing

like a weekly news roundup

but not necessarily "news" like normal shit

but basically smartass commentary and review of recent goings on and whatever

did i tell you barrett started talking to me again

yeah i was like "hay you should write shit, and then i'll deliver it"

and different glasses

you should totes write for its

if...this ever happens

i'm not as good at writing content, but i'm really good at delivery and such

there isn't going to be any sort of structure, i just have a vague idea that it'd be smartass comments and delivery of recent goings on and whatnot

but it'll be sorta geared toward the reddit crowd in a manner?

and i always thought it was a good idea if you had an outlet to produce content of ur funnies

but yeah the youtube thing could generate monies from ad whatever

but it'll be something fun to do

a fun creative outlet

bscly like whatever smartass and parody things that pop in your head throughout the week, like, write it down and crap and it'll be put together within the w/e

i'ma try and ask other funny peoples too

oh and it could be a viral marketing thing in a manner for you

so you'd get props from your bosses and such

sum it up in like one sentence

it wouldn't be obvious, but just mentioning robot stuff and covering those games and such

do you have any examples of other people doing similar, but yours is different bcause X

a weekly internet pop-culture/nerd news/commentary round-up (appealing to the "reddit" demographic), hosted by a facetiously quirky, glasses-wearing redheaded female, covering varying topics to induce lulz

zefrank's "The Show" would be a relatively good example. It was a daily news round-up, commentary thing. it induced many lulz.

i guess that'd be another example

lemme pull up her site. she's been on G4, but i dunno how often she updates her crap because i haven't been in touch with her much over the past couple years

it wouldn't necessarily cover just video games though

it'd cover general nerd topics

my internet's slow so i can't check her site

er, it's taking forever to load

google also popped up with this

maybe put in "half-asian" instead of redhead

but you do need to dress up

pad your bra and wear them tank tops

it'll also prance around the line of the absurd

like "I Am Your Grandma"

but not that extreme

costumes and masks take a lot of work

i'm too lazy for that

it'll be sorta completely random and filled with stuff that makes me laugh

just focus on make up

well not like all the crap will be that

cause i won't really write most of it

and maybe do crazy eyebrows all the time

and order nerd shirts in bulk

er much of it whatsoever

and then modify them

like cut a diamond out of the cleavage out so your lacy bra shows through

but i'm sorta lazy and overwhelm myself too much so it'll be babysteps

it'd prob get sponsors pretty quickly

er, the absurdity would be shit like

when someone says "increase contrast in the midrange"

"hey this place is a sponsor today. they sent this shirt. i guess it's cool or something, but i did this to make it cooler"

how do I do that in lightroom

then like show it cut up and made to fit minou

that would be really funny

or glued onto paper for a sailboat hat

I have the curves tab open

it's the thing in the middle

there's like highlights, lights

i forgot, then darks, then shadows

highlights, lights, darks, shadows

point curve, medium contrast

you could raise the lights and darks

I hit strong contrast, and it does more of what I want it to do

it lowered the shadows a tiny bit and raised the lights a tiny bit

oh that totally worked

when you do that, does it show the little nubs to be moved around

i guess maybe you could say the humor on the show would be, hrm, i dunno how to explain it

like stephen colbert

where they have this obnoxious character

find someone who does something sort of like what you want to do

and then be like "but for games"

or "like this guy, but more X"

oh but it won't be COMPLETELY for games

ze frank is a good example

but i guess i gotta go through all his crap to find good examples

cause it'll have stuff like viewer questions

with really ridiculous responses

like a really serious question with the most obnoxious answer that doesn't help whatsoever, but maybe in some fantasy world where lizard people own humans as slaves

it's just going to be completely absurd, but will actually cover random news topics in a manner

i mean, it won't be exactly that all the time

i dunno, random comic relief

the lizard people sort of obnoxiousness wouldn't be particularly frequent

but that may be used as some segue into like ridiculous "conspiracy theories" and such

try writing/recording a single bit of it

which could be a segue into something related to politics

or like one absurd, and then one "normal" one

and then be all "this will be 80% of the show" and "this is the other 20%"

i'm hoping i can have the description be a bit more vague than that

er, rather, like, i could explain percentages

but i'd have to figure out a way to leave it sorta open-ended

so as to allow freedom of whatever

i guess it could be summed up as a "personal vlog" so as to allow the randomness and subjective commentary

er, maybe not completely that

but you know what i'm saying?

the concept is pretty amorphous atm so yeah i dunno
