Obama Attacks Israel Supports Hamas-PLO
SUPPORT ISRAEL AND HER BORDERS
AN ISRAELI RETURN TO 1967 BORDERS IS SUICIDE
Barack Obama recently made the demand that Israel return to her pre-1967 borders. Later he attempted to soften the blow with a bit of crafty back-peddling insisting that Israel should trade portions of her natural defensible borders to the very organizations who have repeatedly called for Israel's complete destruction - Hamas and the PLO.

Such an idea is absurd. Israel must retain the ability to defend herself. A return to pre-1967 borders would create open corridors that would allow nearly instant enemy access to every Israeli population center. Enemy aircraft would be within minutes of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Shoulder anti-aircraft weapons and RPGs would be within easy range of the Israeli International Airport. Bombings and terrorist attacks would immediately escalate. One of the few things standing between Israel and total annihilation are her well-chosen and defensible borders.

After the 6 Day War of 1967, when Israel was attacked by all of her neighbors and much of the Muslim world, a treaty was signed that allowed Israel to keep the territory she won. The most important portion of this territory is the 4,200 foot high mountains of the Jordan River Valley. These mountains form a natural barrier that prevents the Muslim world from attacking Israel at will. Such an important defense cannot be abandoned for the whims of a man who clearly does not wish to understand Middle Eastern reality.
Perhaps it's time President Obama is reminded of his March 2, 2007 speech to AIPAC:
"We must stand up for Israel's legitimate right to defend itself...The U.S. and our partners have put before Hamas three very simple conditions to end this isolation: recognize Israel's right to exist; renounce the use of violence; and abide by past agreements between Israel and the Palestinian Authority."
That includes border agreements, Mr. President.
Fax Congress today. Tell them to override Obama and stand with our great ally Israel.
