What is Cutback about?

High school senior Luke Harris dreams of life as a pro surfer. With his best friend Casey at his side, they have two goals in life - surf and party. But Luke's mom and dad have their heart set on seeing him go to college.

When Luke learns that a spot is opening up on the local surf team, he sees a chance to prove to his parents that he can make it as a pro surfer. But two things stand in his way: new-surfer-in-town Matt, who has his own eyes set on the surf team opening, and his parents, who insist he give up his surfing fantasy.

When a devastating tragedy strikes close to home, Luke is forced to take a hard look at his life and with the help of beautiful "church-girl" friend Emily, his boss and his Youth Pastor, Luke discovers that there's much more to his life than riding waves.
