Who am I?
5 Years ago I had $100,000 in the bank (cash) and decided to live my dream of producing a kids movie. For almost 1 year I wrote, produced, acted in and filmed my movie. It was one of the best times of my life. You can find out about me and see a clip of the video at www.JasonPlouff.com
Needless to say I got many very expensive lessons in film making. Lessons that I want to share with you as you work with me.
One of our projects could be to develop the best weekend film school. I have ideas how to do it, I know how to get the marketing people and I can get the money. I also know how to make a movie about it and market that. Excited so far? I am.
This could be the best film job ever. Why? I want to do it easy and relaxed. Chilling outside (drinking or smoking if you prefer) and listening to Dave Matthews Band brainstorming how we can film our next movie or build our next business. I know it's hard to believe. I can tell you it works. How? I just earned more than $25,000 with my partner and I doing this in the last 60 days.
I know at this point this might seem like an infomercial LOL I have no intention on selling you anything except my vision.
I'm ready to start filming "officially" again. I have been filming unofficially for the last 5 years. I have an investor that will invest in some of my film projects. I need to build the team and create the plan to be able to pitch him the idea. I want to start building my (film) team before I pitch him any ideas, where I'm asking for money from him. I have pitched him non film ideas and he is currently backing them. The last two projects which he funded he paid $10,000 and $15,000 (in the last 60 days).
Why do it this way?
Great question. I think there are brilliant geniuses in the independent film industry. They are brilliant in areas other than film. My ideal situation would be to really get cranking with a core team and those that did not want to work there current job in retail/restaurant/office would come work for me in one of my businesses (kick ass laid back business's) and you could do what you LOVE/or have special talents for (outside of film) in order to pay your bills so you can do what you LOVE in film. This is what I am doing. I love to write and build businesses, but I also love to teach and make movies. I want to combine both of them. I want to show and tell YOU how to make money to film more and make money by filming. The way I want to film movies now is based on all my lessons I have learned in life and film. Lessons of how to make it easy, relaxed and fun AND MAKE MONEY DOING IT. I already have a salesperson/partner on my team that got the $25,000 from the investor.
What is our project?
There are several projects to much detail to cover in a craigslist ad, this ad is already longer than I thought and longer than you probably wish it would be. LOL
if you are interested come meet with me. Basically the projects will be fun reality type teaching shows, seminars, parties. A few of the projects might be "how dave matthews would teach www.thesecret.tv One of the first is a kick ass party that we are going to film, make money doing it and be able to sell it, have it fun and I am willing to give away profits to the film team (and my marketing/business team) for each film/movie project. I have already worked on a crew that produced a small version of this movie and he is going to coach me on how to do it on my own and make money doing it. On his project he has probably made over $100,000 and the guy he learned from (the millionaire he learned from, I also learned from at his mansion in Las Vegas). He has made over a million dollars doing this type of project.
I figured out how to do it better than both of them and make more money doing it (once we have the right team in place). I know this might seem hard to believe, but what if I'm only 25% right. Would you agree that this would be a kick ass project and learning experience? I only want the film team that is still reading this email. I want to people who are hungry to make it big in film, you have the talent and you just need a leader/someone with a vision/money.

Woops I think I already answered most of this question. Let me explain it to you this way. If we have a business with 10 owners. The business is going to produce a movie. You are one of the owners of this movie. YOU actually will have some type of ownership/profits??
10 people in a business (example of people)
1. Me
2. My parnter (sales person)
3. Marketing guy
4. Website guy
5. MONEY guy
6. Film person
7. Film person
8. Film person
9. Film person
10. Film person
Now once we have the team in place, then we decide on a project. Then we get the money. When he says YES to the money, we have a "board meeting" of all 10 members. The company would have 10000 shares (1000 shares for each person), in our board meeting we would sell shares to the money guy.
*If YOU don't believe in my first vision/project you may want or need money to work on this project. You will sell the "shares" you have been issued in exchange for money to work on the project. Money details not worked out right now, it will depend on the needs of the film team. If the team decides that shares are worth $10 each (before the project starts) , you may decide to sell 100 of your shares to get $1000 to work on this project. Keep in mind if too many crew members want to sell there shares for $10 (supply and demand) it will decrease the cost of the shares. My job is to equally place team members into projects where it has crew members that need money and don't need money (this will ensure a strong value for the shares) Hope this example makes sense so far. My experience has shown me that if you are the right person, and I know this is the right time, then you'll keep reading because this is the right opportunity for you. Basically that is how you might get paid on the project. Now when we sell the movie and we make profits, profits will be paid out to our "owners" in the form of a dividend (just like any well run company) so if we profit $100,000 and you own 10% you would be paid $10,000. Now if you needed to sell your shares on project #1 and you only have 3% of shares you would be paid $3,000.
Disclaimer: Please understand I'm not gauranteeing any future profits because I don't know how well we will work as a film team. I will say you are getting in on the ground level and it does not require a lot of work. We will make money on projects. We will make more money and do it easier and faster on project #10 then project #1 (of course) but I'm starting on project #1. If you stick around with me, you'll soon be the person buying shares on project #10 from people who are just starting to work with us. You'll do this with the money you are EARNED on our other video projects. I want all of my project 1, 2, 3 team members to be the executive producers on projects 4, 5, . . .. . . This way we can make more movies and I can focus on writing, creating and selling the videos. (ok let me wrap this up)
Keep in mind some of your responsibilities might be to outsource editing of a easy 45 minute video. The outsourcing costs might be $10, you could do the editing yourself or pay someone $10 to do it. You know more about film then me so I want you to handle "getting the job done" because I'm looking to build teams and projects based on the lessons I have learned over the last 16 years. I'm not 16 years old for those of you that are wondering.  I'm 36.

2. when we will want to film (film schedule depends on the film team, I want it easy and relaxed for YOU also so most of the filming will work around YOUR schedule. COOL HUH?
3. What type of film people we are looking for (pretty much anyone (even people with no experience in film just a strong desire and work ethic but especially people with equipment, equipment might earn additional shares of stock TBD) we also need photographers.
I live in Steiner Ranch (Austin 78732) I would prefer to meet at my house this way if noone shows up then I get to keep working, plus I want you to understand me and where I live because that factors in to you understanding me and working with me. I am open to meeting in an area where the most amount of people are, I just don't know a place where 10-30 people could all meet without me paying for it in advance. We could meet at a park somewhere in Austin but it might be HOT!
