Excellent. Glad to hear it.

I want to do something like what you and Jon Alston did, but with polygraphs. I'm hoping to conduct a bunch of experiments for my dissertation research on bias, and I'm suing a few agencies to get aggregate polygraph pass/fail rate by subgroup-type observational data backing up my results. Let me know if I missed something and it's already been WikiLeaked, will you? :)

Anyway, this is the way to write - clear, witty, accessible. I get the academic jargon in my head and start mimicking it, which is poisonous to wit and clarity. To paraphrase E.B. White, reading good shit really helps.

Thanks, I'm actually on suboxone now which is working out fine for me. Glad you're liking the book.

Currently reading *Flock of Dodos* - love your writing.

Had a random thought after reading your Dallas profile re attention/addiction. Modafinil is class C but without good data on whether it is actually addictive. Might help with focus. My dumbass uninformed idea is that you may have gotten addicted to heroin as an adaptive way to focus better. So it might be easier to kick the habit if you replace it with another, less harmful drug that serves the same instrumental function. I remember cigarettes doing much the same thing for me (enhancing focus), but I'm still not sure how I quit them.

Don't kill yourself, you're awesome.

Katelyn.
