FOTP BBQ 1

We are happy to announce the return of the FOTP BBQ Blowout. Now in its 4th summer, we are excited to announce one of our biggest seasons yet. There are new chefs, partners and delicious food to be had all summer. New York magazine is returning for the second year as the exclusive media sponsor and we are very excited to be working with them again.

On site tix will be $10 and will include a plate of food and a complimentary Reyka Vodka cocktail. Advance tickets are sold out so please show up early. The event is on rain or shine.

Entry is free, so come and hang out and enjoy Reyka specials all night long. As always, Nicky Digital will be snapping your photos, so make sure to wipe that sauce off your face.

The BBQ takes place at Good Co. - 10 Hope St, Brooklyn [map] - 7pm - 10pm

The Talent

Our first BBQ features Jesse Schenker of Recette fame. Lauded with numerous awards ( two stars from The New York Times, two stars from NY Magazine, three stars from Time Out New York, etc), we are very excited to have Jesse kick of this years series with his contemporary American focus.

On the decks will be Frankie Rose who claims to be haunted by the ghosts of Brill Building. Her ethereal, yet affectation-free vocal melodies, swirling in a sea of church-like harmonies over a bed of tambourines, bells, and propulsive drumming, recall such artists as Elizabeth Fraser and Black Tambourine.

Twin brothers Terry D and DJ Never Forget have traveled the world as Finger on the Pulse, bringing the music and food cultures of New York City to points beyond. They are the creators of the TV show Dinner With The Band, which features musicians that cook up their favorite recipes while they lay down their favorite tunes. The duo is also known for their popular Summer BBQ Blowout Series, which invites Brooklyn’s culture vultures to sample the fare of creative chefs in the heat of the summer night. Their connections with the culinary world cover the full spectrum, from the most buzzed about celebrity chefs to local families making authentic meals in their ‘hood.

They currently live in Brooklyn, New York where they have long been fighting the good fight for late nights and good meals. When they’re not hustling to bring the party to the people, Finger on the Pulse has been known to enjoy good whiskey, cheap whiskey, and all the whiskies in between.
