Dear Fellow Texans,

Thursday night the Texas House voted overwhelmingly to protect Texans and “Nullify TSA" in our Great State.  Freshman Rep. David Simpson's HB 1937 passed by a unanimous voice vote to the cheers of onlookers waiting in expectation.   HB 1937 has been called the "anti-groping bill" and is supported by many groups working to protect our liberty.

HB 1937 seeks to ban searches by TSA (and other) agents “without probable cause” as the 4th amendment requires.  It states, in part:

A person who is a public servant [acting under color of his office or employment] commits an offense if the person, while acting under color of the person’s office or employment without probable cause to believe the other person committed an offense, performs a search for the purpose of granting access to a publicly accessible building or form of transportation.

Although Senate passage could prove difficult, Simpson remained positive and thankful in an update he sent to supporters, saying, "HB 1937 passed second reading in the Texas House this evening.  I would like to thank the many Texans and Americans around the country for their support and prayers.  May God continue to grant favor to this effort in the Texas Senate and with the Governor.  For Texas and Liberty."

Now is the time to put pressure on the Texas Senate and make sure we win this monumental battle!
