Barrett,
I have learned a lot from mg. I have been lurking since the beginning. Sometimes questioning and trying to understand the goal of mg beyond the basic fact it is happening and that the players are pure evil. Exposure of this evil is good, but how do we attain a strategic victory over the perpetrators of this crime? MG can be all consuming depending on the goals, it may not pay the dividends of evoking change quickly enough. These thoughts and questions lead to the organizational problems, some that you alluded to it in a chat that I sat in on the other day. With the recent irc 'failure', credibility and confidence has been lost. The hive has been destroyed and we are left to reform communities of trust, this takes time. Along with this, it appears we have been undermined badly and must assume more than ever that intel now has the shit and those who wanted some anonymity, it is over. It is my opinion, the irc failure will have serious repercussions for some time to come. The level of distrust and paranoia goes up to maximum if you have any chance of being vanned. Well that pretty much says it, friends in Egypt and else where are very pissed off, as I am also angry. My thoughts for the old irc ops, apology accepted, time to move on. As for the group of rebels, fuck'em, time is on our side. You also know, that from this internal matter we must will evolve processes, so making the activist movement stronger. We need new systems including irc and promote best practices. Ip2p and TOR maybe part of  the answer.  For many the end is a new beginning. I can help with mg in little ways, some education, promotion and other. I will follow the stuff as it comes up. I would like to hear your thoughts on these matters.
later,
