You can announce it if you like; I just made the decision this morning. I can't speak for Housh on his relationship to Anonymous. I'm working closely with him as well as the fellow who edited the script on the original Chanology video on a new guide to the establishment of online entities for the purpose of effective, high-impact activism against corrupt institutions. He and a few others produced a rather brilliant document a while back that was intended to serve as such a guide but which they never finished to their satisfaction, and he happened to see my own rough draft guide along the same lines and is now interested in reviving the project. I've also been discussing the concept with other people with relevant backgrounds, including a longtime member of the Cult of the Dead Cow, and will be asking for additional input from others. In the meantime I'm working with a couple of dozen people on OpMetalGear, some of whom come from Anon and some of whom are with me via Project PM. Aside from pursuing Metal Gear and reviving our original pursuits in the areas of experimental information-based reform efforts, Project PM will be dedicated in prompting others to start groups of this nature based on the upcoming guide. In the meantime, I've been distributing this very early rough draft, which is intended to explain why such groups are viable and necessary while also providing some specific info on tactics, recruitment, methods, and tools. My ultimate intent is to see a few dozen such groups arise in the next year, each communicating and collaborating with a few others and perhaps even merging together, but at any rate sharing ideas and information and otherwise learning from each other in order to optimize their effectiveness. Each group would be autonomous and operate as it likes and could do so under the Anonymous banner if it sees fit; those which operate independently of that  movement could attract people who would be interested in using the internet for activism but who would prefer not to deal with the baggage that Anonymous brings with it. All in all, those like me who got involved with Anonymous as a means by which to engage in "ethical" vigilantism against a system we consider to be illegitimate can engage in that activity without having to associate with those who are simply interested in being part of a powerful and secretive entity. And the latter, who are actively resentful of those of us who serve in de facto leadership roles by virtue of launching and organizing operations and that sort of thing, can finally be free of us.

Anonymous will definitely continue to serve as an incubator by which to get people interested and trained in online activism, and will no doubt continue to serve as a necessary counterpoint to a broken system. I'll remain a strong proponent of the movement, but my goals are better served by running my own collective as I see fit.

Really? That's major considering your past. Is 'c0s' doing the same thing?
Is that public info or just between us?
