A few weeks ago, Scott Abel and Rahel Anne Bailie hosted the webinar, Are You Content Strategy Material? Rahel Bailie, CEO and Chief Content Strategist, at Intentional Design discussed what defines the work of a content strategist. An excerpt from the presentation:

"We define content strategy as a repeatable process that governs the management of content throughout its entire life cycle. That means putting in place a methodology that is reliable, and it means looking at the entire content life cycle, from planning and creation right through to what happens after content is published... It involves creating a strategy that applies structure, processes, and systems against a type of asset – in this case, the content assets – to meet an organizational goal."

If this intrigues you, be sure to view the entire slide deck below; Rahel and Scott shared a wealth of information that is worth checking out.

Webinar Wednesday
Join Us Tomorrow | Creating Culturally-Correct Web Content For Global Audiences

Join us tomorrow, April 29th for our next webinar: Creating Culturally-Correct Web Content For Global Audiences.

Incorrect colors, imagery and poorly chosen English expressions can all translate into a failed attempt to provide effective customer support to users from different cultural backgrounds. Join Scott Abel, The Content Wrangler, as he interviews Maxwell Hoffmann of Globalization Partners International about best practices for creating web content. Maxwell will provide some interesting examples of mistakes others have made in the past. Attendees will learn how to determine if content (text and graphics) is both culturally-correct and effective in communicating to an off-shore, global audience. You'll discover how to avoid the most common cultural mistakes that unintentionally alienate the customers you are trying to serve.
