Hi Barrett
Apologies for the delay. I am in the midst of moving house - which is taking more energy than I planned.
Today I read this.
http://www.thehackernews.com/2011/03/anonymous-we-have-revolution-in-mind-we.html
I guess I gave you the foundation of where I am coming from in my previous email. I hope you do not mind me giving you the following perspective - and I hope you find it of interest.
I have been strongly involved in Indigenous peoples activism for quite some time. You were quoted in the above link as saying "Anyone who promotes Anonymous's values and self identifies as Anonymous, we consider to be Anonymous."
In Australian Aboriginal culture, there has been a long struggle to find criteria for identification. Now, under Australian (western legal system) law there is an accepted set of criteria for identification. The three criteria are -
1. Self identification
2. Historical evidence of ancestry (Via western methods, such as the registry of births, deaths and marriages etc etc)
and 3. Acceptance by the aboriginal community of that person as Aboriginal.
I was struck by the similarities of your perspective, and language. (Replacing "Aboriginal" with "anonymous" is my way of understanding, as a very tribal person, Anonymous as a tribe)
In many tribal cultures, the western legal system is predated by something much older and more powerful. It is from this perspective I write to you. Of course I align myself with WikiLeaks and those who have been generous in their support of WikiLeaks. Mr. Julian Assange has a broader and clearer perspective on justice - which has enabled him to make the difference that he has done, and will continue to do.
This broader sense of justice is something that has motivated me to be more aware of Anonymous in the last 6 months. I would not want to be seen as talking about something about which I do not know enough - but I know enough to know that I can be clear in offering my perspective - and offer assistance.
What can I offer? The occasional interesting perspective - from a life as an activist who is interested in global transformation.
And if it gets too "hot" in the States, and you come to Australia - then because we share the same goals ( I think I have probably read enough of what you have written to surmise that), I would do what I can to assist you.
I am not technically literate. But I understand that history is a very good teacher. We are in the world of cybershamanism. I am literate with that. My thought was that was what Anonymous is and does.
Anyway, I am not sure if that was a 'cell phone' number under your name. In oz, we call it a 'mobile' number.
Mine is 0423 282 553. More than happy to continue a correspondence if it is useful.
kind regards.
Robyn

Hi
I am an Australian information activist. I read your article today in the Guardian, and thought that I might make contact with you.
I have been a community activist for a long time - an area of interest that I have only taken into cyberspace in recent years. I have found it to be an excellent learning curve, and am quite aware of how radical global change will come from this "fifth sphere" as the US DoD like to call it.
I am an active WikiLeaks supporter since viewing "Collateral Murder", and am happy to be that in a country where my support is not criminalised ( as it is subtly in the States). I am a strong advocate for the rights, and also values, of Mr. Julian Assange. John Perry Barlow and Julian Assange would be two clear and intelligent leaders in this new world that is being forged as we watch.
I like what you wrote. I thought I might at the very least make some contact with you - not as a blogger - but as an activist and as a person who is capable of participating in and contributing to cultural transformation on a visionary scale. You stand out, and your ideas are very interesting.
Carl Jung said that those who create the future are capable of creating independent ideas to shape that future. My sense is that you are on that track. I wish you well with it.
If you want any feedback on your project I would be happy to assist.
I convene a small Australian organisation,
