Just got off phone - top notch news organization, well known investigative journalist, they will decide between now & Wednesday if they are going to take the story. Investigative dude is painfully hard, institutional dude has to check a bit before he'll show any obvious signs of excitement. This was before they got my Sunday update, which has the timeline in it - we think it's gonna go.
So ... some serious, source protecting journalist types may want to talk to folks. Pass the word that this is likely coming. It ain't Matt Taibi/Rolling Stone, but it's someone that well recognized ...

I don't think it was phrased in such a way as to constitute extortion. We told them that they wouldn't look as bad if they did something humanitarian after having interfered with our own efforts. We had already put their e-mails and data up and weren't offering to take them down.
