Also, I don't suppose you'd be willing to run this video of a blac block police infiltrator participating in an attack on a bank and then yelling that he's a cop when he's about to be arrested, would you? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_1pIBLp9lY

Of course the circumstances are different. The state has grown well beyond the imagination of anyone who lived in that time, and with it, the initiation of force against the individual citizens.

Perhaps, Barrett, but I'd argue that circumstances are quite different today. And so would you, if you're honest about these things.

I don't support militia movements, Barrett. I don't support anarchist or revolutionary violence.

Why should the states hold a monopoly on violence? As long as it's directed towards the state and those who act with it, violence is quite appropriate. Don't tell me you two would mind if a militia took on the feds, seized control of the state, and then began dismantling it? The whole point of the Second Amendment is to lay the groundwork for another revolution. Having said that, the violence in this case may be prompted merely by the state reducing its spending, in which case I oppose it; force should be used to oppose the initiation of force, not to promote it. On the other hand, both of my grandfathers dropped bombs on people, killing soldiers and civilians alike, so it's hard for me to get upset about my fellow anarchists attacking armed riot cops for any reason they choose. Don't forget how many intrusive "laws" those cops enforce. No need to kill them like so many Nazis, but some bricks and molotovs are appropriate reactions to state thuggery. Perhaps you'd be happier if we anarchists were to deploy "Second Amendment remedies"? Or is that reserved for those who emphasize the evil of socialized medicine and not the socialized drug war? Please advise.
