I have had the pleasure of working with Nikki Loehr on a weekly basis since January 2010.
Nikki has served as my personal assistant on a variety of projects related to the arts. As a top arts
dealer, curator, and organizer of the Dallas Art Fair – I am privileged to work with high net-worth
collectors, corporate sponsors, and internationally famous artists on a daily basis. This is a fast-paced,
high stress, and no-room for error business and it is difficult finding someone who can excel within this
environment. Nikki has been able to exceed expectations, and continually impresses me with her broad
skill set, tireless work ethic, and dazzling intelligence.

First I have no doubt that Nikki has the intellectual capacity to succeed at an academically
rigorous institution such as Yale. I received my Bachelors from University of Pennsylvania, one of my
business partners is a Harvard alumnus, and I work and interact with Ivy Leaguers constantly. As my
personal assistant, so does Nikki, and trust me when I say in some areas this young lady is brighter than
all of us. Nikki’s intellectual curiosity is best manifested in the breadth of her skill set. Not only can I
trust her in matters of fine art, where she has an excellent knowledge of art history – I can also trust her
with commercial art – from photography to graphic design to digital mockups. However, I wouldn’t so
strongly recommend Nikki if she was just bright. What really makes Nikki Loehr stand out is her ability to
manage, interact, and organize people.

When Nikki first started working with me I had a personal art project called The Magician
that had been languishing for the better part of a decade. She has been able to reboot that project
by helping with the graphic design work, helping build an interactive website for the project, and
overseeing the user-interface and architecture. When we meet and consult about the project, Nikki is
able to draw out my strengths and help focus me on what is essential to get the project done. Nikki is
a wonderful listener, which seems to be a dying skill these days. Not only does she listen well, she also
works extremely hard and diligently. Nikki knows how to get things done, and I believe that her diligence
combined with her natural intelligence will enable her to have a very successful career at Yale.

Finally, Nikki is simply a fun person to be around. She has a natural quirkiness that I find
endearing, and the routinely goes out of her way to help others and to lend a sympathetic ear. She
seems to be very dedicated to the truth and in possession of the highest integrity. In fact, if I had to sum
up Nikki in one word it would be compassionate. Her personal experiences and challenges have created
in her a heightened sensitivity to the trials and tribulations of others. She is the type of person who
actually cares if she asks “How are you doing?” and that can be a breath of fresh air in the sometimes
sterile art-world.

For her intellectual curiosity, her diligence, her tireless work ethic, and most importantly her
integrity and great sense of compassion – I enthusiastically and unreservedly recommend Nicole Loehr
for the Eli Whitney Program at Yale University.

Sincerely,

Christopher Bryne
