Heh. Laurelai. Feel free to give me a call if that's easier and I'll tell you exactly who she is and what she was up to. "She" is the one who got the logs. Ex-military.

Hi, John-

We're aware of the security breach as other logs from "HQ" have been posted before (and I should note that HQ is not really HQ anyway - you will note that the actual coordination of performed hacks will not appear in those logs). We're also aware that people such as FakeGreggHoush and other people associated with th3j3st3r have been spending quite a bit of time trying to take us down; the former has posted what he thinks to be information on two of my ex-girlfriends on Twitter. I can tell you that those who were responsible for pulling off HBGary and running Operation Metal Gear no longer use that room due not only to this security breach, but other factors as well.

As for that excerpt, I can tell you that our strategy for Hunton has not ended up hinging upon hacking even though of course those options tend to be looked at, particularly when the target has itself committed crimes and is thus in no position to whine about it. Booz Allen Hamilton, for instance, is currently being attacked via entirely non-technical means other than advanced research methods, and this will become more evident over the next two days.

I can also confirm that we have become vindicative megalomaniacs, and I'd like to offer you an unusual chance to join us on Skype today to observe this for yourself. Barrett.Brown33 is my handle.

Hi, it's John Cook from Gawker. I've obtained, via former Anons who say they are disenchanted with recent anon operations, logs of the "HQ" chat over the course of a few days in February. The people who provided them say they've provided same to the FBI and Army CID, along with their estimations as to the identities of the various handles. We're going to be publishing some of the chats tomorrow (Friday), and I wanted to give you a chance to respond/weigh in on what appears to be a breach in security for anonymous.

The folks who provided them say they feel that anonymous has become megalomaniacal, and focused more on vindictive hacks than on free speech. The logs show detailed discussions of the HBGary hack and subsequent plans for next targets. For instance:

17:46 <&Sabu> hunton.com will be a nice fucking hit

17:46 <&marduk> hm see potential vulns?

17:48 <&Sabu> yeah

17:48 <&Sabu> I see some potential openings

17:48 <&marduk> :]

17:49 <&Sabu> we could rape these niggers

Anyway, let me know if you have any comment.

Thanks,

john
