Speaking English with Correct Pronunciation

Many times we shy away, hesitate or are reluctant to speak at work or social situations, because we are afraid we might mispronounce words.

Gain confidence in pronouncing words correctly in our 2-day course on 7 and 8 April. You’ll learn how to pronounce:

·                     common words that usually have been mispronounced

·                     words and phrases you usually use at work

·                     any word in the Dictionary

You'll sound more refined, be better understood; and impress others at personal, work and social situations.

How do you pronounce these words?

1.    Comparable

2.    Almond

3.    Debt

4.    Presentation

5.    Gloucester  Road

Did you just read:

1.    Com-pare-re-bel

2.    Al-mon

3.    Debt

4.    Pre-sen-ta-tion

5.    Glo-ches-ter  Road

If you did then you are one of thousands of Singaporeans who mispronounce a lot of English words.

For the correct pronunciation for these words, click here.

Well, it is not entirely your fault; the problem exists because:

*

English words, unlike words in our main three Mother Tongues (Mandarin, Malay and Tamil), are not always read phonically (like rat, cat, sat and mat), and

*

because, unlike our Mother Tongues, English is a ‘stressed’ language.

In our 2-day course, you'll learn how to speak English correctly using phonics, phonetics; and word and sentence stresses.

The course fee is $488. However, when you make payment by 24 March the fee is only $440.

For full course and registration details, please refer to our website http://www.trilifecom.com.

We look forward to welcoming you to the course.

Yours sincerely
